Last-Minute Love Notes

In need of a last-minute Valentine's Day card? You're in luck! As a lover of greeting cards, I've rounded up a few of my favorite quirky and cute love notes that are perfect for the special someone in your life. Happy Valentine's Day! lovenotes

Tip: Did you know that you can find greeting cards in many of your favorite stores? Anthropologie, J. Crew and Urban Outfitters all carry adorable cards that look like they are straight out of a boutique. Also, their inventory is less likely to be picked over because they are not a traditional card store. Happy shopping!

1. Hello Valentine Letterpress, Sugar Paper 2. You're the Cat's Pajamas, Rifle Paper Co. 3. I Pine For You, Anthropologie 4. Radishing Letterpress, Papyrus 5. You're My Addiction, J. Crew  6. Look at my Phone Valentine Card, Paper Source

My Travel Essentials

Well, I never intended for this to become a blog about travel, but it seems to be all I'm doing these days! No complaints here, of course. This month, Reese and I are heading to Nosara, Costa Rica with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law and I cannot wait. Goodbye dreary winter, hello tropical paradise! I travel quite a bit, so I've learned over the years how to make my airport trips as smooth and painless as possible. With three trips planned over the next three months, I figured I would share a few of my carry-on essentials. travel_essentials1. I won't leave the house without my Kindle Paperwhite, let alone the country! Perfect for airplanes, beach trips, and lazy days by the pool. I'm currently taking suggestions for a juicy beach read. Share below if you have one!

2. I have this J. Crew travel wallet and I absolutely love it. It allows you to keep your passport, boarding passes, tickets, etc. all in one place.

3. A good, moisturizing lip balm is a must when flying. My current obsession is this Mojito Lip Balm from Malin + Goetz.

4. Before I board an airplane, I always buy a giant bottle of water and a KIND bar (my favorites are the low sugar ones, especially the Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt). Hydration is key, and a KIND bar keeps me from snacking on less-than-healthy airplane food.

5. Flying can wreak havoc on my skin, so I always bring a sheet mask for a little moisture surge. These travel packs from WHEN are perfect to throw in your carry-on.

6. When I travel, I leave my larger purses at home and opt for a big tote bag as my "personal item." I've been using my nylon Marc Jacobs bag for years and its perfect—big enough to fit all of my necessities but small enough to fit under the seat.

7. My Bose Headphones might be my favorite splurge of all time. Not only are they comfortable enough for an 8 hour flight, but the drown EVERYTHING out. Crying baby one row behind me? All I have to do is slip on the headphones and I won't hear a thing. They also come in fun colors—I have the cute teal ones above!

What are some of your travel essentials?

Ya, Mon! Our Trip to Jamaica

Ah, this is my first post in so long! Things have been crazy busy, but I just had to share a few photos from our recent trip to Negril, Jamaica. I attempted to surprise Reese with a trip to Jamaica for his 30th birthday, but of course, I spoiled the surprise six months ago with my big mouth. After an amazing, but adventurous honeymoon, we both said that we wanted to head to an island for our next vacation, and I figured his birthday was the perfect excuse to escape for a little R & R. I was super excited and once I spilled the beans, Reese was too.

Last Sunday, we hopped on a plane and flew to Jamaica for four days. The flight was super easy and as soon as we landed, we were in total Caribbean relaxation mode. Jamaicans are so chill and friendly, and you know you're in for a good time when your shuttle driver stops at a dive bar and tells you to pick up some cold Red Stripes for the ride.

We decided to forgo the all-inclusive route and stay at a more authentic, boutique Jamaican resort called the Rockhouse. My thoughts? BOOK A VACATION HERE ASAP. I can't say enough good things.  The place itself was gorgeous, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the views were simply breathtaking. We also experienced probably the best spa experience of our lives, ate a ton of delicious Jamaican food, and drank probably one too many dirty bananas. It was the perfect little getaway for us both to relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of a second honeymoon.

IMG_0031_2IMG_0034_2IMG_0010_2IMG_0012_2IMG_0005_2We stayed in one of these cliffside villas, which was amazing. Waking up to this view would never get old. IMG_0032_2IMG_0028_2IMG_0036_2

IMG_0001These little hidden caves could be found all over the resort. So cool.

IMG_0008_2One day, we went out on one of these glass bottom boats and went snorkeling with the coolest Jamaican around, Vincent. We had so much fun, and even spotted an octopus! (Sidenote: I also got stung by a jellyfish and Reese had to drag me back to the boat. After my initial panic attack in the middle of the sea, I was totally fine. Even when I'm super relaxed, I'm still apparently a hypochondriac.) IMG_0033_2It's not a Caribbean vacation without coconuts and cuban cigars...

IMG_0053_2IMG_0029_2Oh, and we got a couples massage, right here. Pretty amazing. IMG_0011_2We also ventured into the town of Negril and found a few great spots, like this cozy little beach bar called "Chill Awhile." IMG_0025_2IMG_0019_2IMG_0023_2We're already planning our return! The Rockhouse is seriously a little slice of heaven. Until then, I'm sure going to miss these sunsets. IMG_0002_2Happy 30th Birthday Reese!! IMG_0009_2xo Court

Big Life Changes!

Hi there! I know it's been a little while, but I've been crazy busy!! Lots of changes happening right now - all good, of course! Okay, let's get started... First things first, I got a new job! I'm now the Digital Copywriter for May Media Group, which is a company that publishes KIWI Magazine as well as owns KIWI Shop and a product sampling program called Green Moms Meet. It's pretty awesome - everything is focused around organic and healthy living. As a digital copywriter, I'm pretty much writing and editing anything and everything you see on their digital platforms, from blog posts to eblasts. I'm also doing some really cool stuff with social media, like writing scripts for and hosting Twitter parties! I really love what I'm doing and it's right up my alley. I'll be sharing posts that I write for KIWI and Moms Meet on my blog, so stay tuned! Oh, and I'm pretty excited about having a desk - I haven't had one in a while to decorate! I found some great stuff at Paper Source and Home Goods - it's super cute!image

Second, Reese and I are moving! We just signed a lease on the cutest, most amazing house - right over the bridge. That's right, we're moving out of Philly! We'll be 10 minutes away from the city in Collingswood, NJ. We weren't really planning on it but this perfect house fell right in our lap and we couldn't say no! Franklin is excited too...he'll have a big fenced in backyard! The best part? I'm going to have my very studio space in the house, so that means lots more DIY projects and how-to's! Here's a pic of our cute little house:image (1)

Lastly, I just found out that our wedding is going to be featured on the blog, Wedding Chicks! So exciting!! Once it gets posted, I'll be sure to share ALL the details right here!

Okay, that's it for now! Just wanted to give an update - hopefully things will calm down a bit and I'll be back to a regular blogging schedule again.

Have a great 4th of July Weekend everyone!! Hope you have a blast!
