This past Saturday we threw my cousin Brittney a bridal shower - it was a huge success! We had a great turnout and everyone had a fabulous time. The decor was adorable - her theme was "Perfect Pair," so everything revolved around shoes. I actually designed the invitation:
The shower was a pretty decent size, so we made sure the games were short and sweet. The first one was to guess how many pairs of shoes Brittney currently owns - a big thank you to her fiancé, Jaime, for actually counting them all! We had little slips of paper with the custom shoe logo from the invitations on them and everyone wrote down their best guess. The 2nd game was a Highest Heel Contest - each table nominated one person with the highest heels and we had everyone stand in a line at the front of the room. This was super easy and super fun! The 3rd game was a he said/she said game - this is always a good one to get to know the bride and groom a little better. For the game prizes, I made these adorable pedicure-themed gift baskets:
There was also an awesome candy bar featuring shoe-themed cupcakes and red, black and cream candies in clear jars. This is an adorable and cost-effective was to add to the decor of your party. You can buy candy in different colors in bulk from Oriental Trading Company or other party supply store, use clear vases or jars that you have around your house, and voila! You have a simple, yet eye catching feature for your party. This also doubled as a favor station, so there were cupcake boxes and candy bags for guests to take home afterwards. Everyone loved it! Great job to all of the Craig aunts for putting it together!
All in all, it was a huge success! A big thank you to Brittney's entire bridal party and our family for making it happen. Everyone did an amazing job...can't wait until the wedding!
