It's All in the Details - Wedding Photos!

One of my favorite elements of our entire wedding was all of the decor and details. I spent so much time on Pinterest looking for ways to make our wedding day unique and I couldn't be happier with the results! Here are a few of my favorite detail shots, starting with my gorgeous bouquet!Courtney Craig and Reese Stern's wedding at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant SC. Several spilling bouquets of baby's breath scattered around the room made such a statement and gave the tables some height. The huge brick fireplace was a main focal point in the room - my mother-in-law Sandy decorated the mantle with gorgeous L-O-V-E letters - a nod to our Philly roots. We also had vintage couches and chairs surrounding the fireplace to create casual seating areas for the guests. Courtney Craig and Reese Stern's wedding at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. One Month Until the Big Day!

OMG...it's officially one month until Reese and I say "I do!" in Charleston!! I feel like we still have so much to do, but we really don't...we planned everything really well. Just little things here and there, which is normal. Here's a little sneak peak on what types of decor you can expect to see on our big day! 1. Mason Jars - and lot's of them! mason_jarsThey'll be filled with flowers lining the aisle, serving our specialty cocktails, scattered on tables, and even serving some of the food! A staple for a southern wedding.

2. Sparkle!sparkleFrom twinkle lights and glittery letters to sparkly, mismatched bridesmaids dresses, our wedding will definitely have a rustic, glam vibe.

3. Bountiful bouquets!bouquetsPlush white and pink peonies, fresh cotton blossoms, blush ranunculus and delicate fringe tulips and tea roses will make up all of the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces.

All images can be found here:

DIY: Literary Confetti

Greetings, everyone! The idea for today's DIY post actually came from my mom, who has been making this confetti for my wedding. It's a simple way to add a personal touch to your big day. All you'll need is an old book or newspaper and a paper punch - I'm using this heart shaped one from Michaels. My mom chose to use an old version of "The Notebook," since a portion of the movie was filmed at our wedding venue, Boone Hall Plantation. DSCN0203 The process is very simple - it's the same as using a hole punch. You can tear the book pages out for easier access. You can also fold a page in half to create two hearts with one punch. I tried to punch out specific words if I saw them, like "love" and "wife." Obviously, if you use a romantic novel, these words are easier to come by!

Be sure to empty your paper punch out from time to time so it doesn't jam up.DSCN0207 DSCN0208

Since this is a tedious process, I bought heart shaped confetti from BHLDN to mix in with it, but you can use anything that matches your color scheme. You can sprinkle the final product down the aisle or across the dessert table, or give it to guests to throw in place of rice at the end of your ceremony.

You could use a children's book for a first birthday party, or a holiday book with a snowflake paper punch for a Christmas party - the options are endless, and it's a super easy project. Happy crafting!
