I'm finally proud to announce that my Etsy shop is open for business! WOO HOO!! As of right now, I am only selling digital downloads of the wedding invitations I featured on this blog, but I will be adding more things over the next few weeks! I'm super excited that this is finally up and running! It was a little more complicated than I expected, so a big thank you to Reese for helping me with all of the business details. Happy Halloween everyone! Last night I went with a bunch of friends to a haunted house in Philly, even though I hate being scared. It wasn't terrible. Sure, I jumped and screamed a little, but I think watching The Walking Dead has softened the blow a little. One word of advice? Don't mock the people who work there. I told one zombie lady that her asylum-style head cage would actually make a great wedding centerpiece. I was serious - it looked like a vintage lantern. She didn't seem to like that comment though and tried to make me go through the house by myself. Nice try, crazy lady. Not happening. Anyway, today's post is dedicated to a first birthday invitation I designed for my godchild and soon-to-be niece, Lindsey. Reese's sister, Sara, wanted a pink and gold theme, so I worked with the colors and her Pinterest board to design this sweet yet simple invite. I love the colors (they're actually my wedding colors!) and the fonts I found are adorable. Can't wait to see Sara's amazing decorating at the party!
If you ever like what you see and would like me to design something for you, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'm working on getting an Etsy shop together, but until then I'm doing freelance projects and building my portfolio!
Happy Monday everyone! I had a great weekend - we had my cousin Brittney's bachelorette party on Saturday and it was a blast! We took a burlesque class in Philadelphia taught by Ginger from the Peek-A-Boo Revue, which was so much fun, I would recommend it to anyone! Her wedding is this Friday at World Cafe Live in Philly - don't worry, I'll have plenty of pics! Between the bachelorette party and the wedding, I'm kind of skipping Halloween this year. However, I found some of the cutest decor, so I figured dedicating today's post to this fabulous holiday will be my way of celebrating.

Yesterday, I stopped by my favorite juice bar on South Street, Sip-N-Glo, and was instantly inspired by their simple, yet charming interior. It felt so festive with all of their fall decor along the windowsill, I could almost smell the crisp, autumn air. Of course, once I stepped outside I was smacked in the face by 80-degree humidity and my dreams of fall weather were crushed. Seriously, it's October - I want to wear my sweaters and boots already! Okay, enough with my rant...I love the rustic and natural fall look, and it is so simple to create at home! Gourds, pumpkins, corn and mums can all be found at your local grocery store. You can also purchase a vintage crate like the one below on Etsy. And how adorable is this little flowering kale plant? I've never seen one before, but I absolutely love it! So fitting for a juice bar. The store is always decorated with mason jars and fresh flowers, regardless of the season. There is an awesome light fixture made from an old crate that I love, and the collection of mirrors and frames and the "take one, leave one" book shelf give it such a welcoming, neighborhood feel. Not to mention, their juices and smoothies are delicious, the staff is super friendly and they always play Bob Marley music. It instantly lifts my mood. Next time you're near South Street, definitely stop on in. I recommend the "Buzzed" smoothie with coffee grounds, banana, almond milk, cacao and honey - finally a way to combine my morning smoothie and coffee. Brilliant!
